A short, self-paced tour of the anthropics/claude-for-legal plugins — what they are, where they run, and what each one actually does — built for legal people who are curious but not technical and want to poke at these tools without breaking a sweat.

What you'll get out of it

A working feel for these tools: you'll be able to say what a “plugin” is in plain English, tell Claude Code from Cowork, install the suite, and run a real command — then explore one plugin at a time in a safe playground, always remembering the one rule that never goes away: every output is a draft for attorney review.

How this works

This is a tour, not a certification — and it's built for picking and choosing. A short core (three modules, done in order) teaches you what plugins are and walks your first one end-to-end. After that, the practice tours are à la carte: each covers one plugin, stands entirely on its own, and assumes nothing but the core. A litigator never has to read about DPAs; a privacy lawyer never has to read a demand letter. Take one tour or all of them.

Every module follows the same shape: a plain-English look at what the tool does, a peek under the hood, then three tiers of hands-on at your own pace —

Guided — one walkthrough with the exact words to try.
Stretch — a couple of harder, messier cases.
Free play — “mess with it,” your way, on synthetic documents.

Every module ends with a quick check and a lab notebook — reflections, never a grade.

Two ground rules, stated once

This site never runs the plugins. They run in your Claude Code or Cowork, on your own machine. What this site gives you is the words to try, synthetic documents to try them on, and examples of what good output looks like. So there is no login, no API key, and no field anywhere that asks for one.

Nothing you type here leaves your browser. Progress ticks and lab-notebook notes are saved only in localStorage on this device.

The guardrail that frames everything

These plugins draft, triage, and organize — they flag what they're unsure of and gate anything irreversible — but a lawyer reviews, verifies, and takes responsibility. They make that review faster; they don't replace it. You'll meet this rule again in every module — it's the one that never goes away.
